Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 September 2026  |  Last updated: 8 September 2026

You Health Group LLC (“You Health Group”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a licensed independent health insurance agency. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through youhealthgroup.com and by phone, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the United States government, the Health Insurance Marketplace®, HealthCare.gov, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the federal Medicare program, or any state or federal agency.

1. Who is responsible for your information

You Health Group LLC is the business responsible for the personal information described here.

We are licensed to sell health insurance in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

When you request a quote, call us, or speak with one of our licensed agents, we collect:

  • Identifiers — your first and last name, ZIP code, telephone number, and email address where you provide one.
  • Date of birth and age — required because health insurance premiums and eligibility are age-rated.
  • Household information — the number of people seeking coverage, and their age and sex, because a plan quote depends on who it must cover.
  • Coverage interests — the type of coverage you are asking about, such as ACA Marketplace, dental, vision, accident or critical illness.
  • Household income information — where you choose to provide it, so we can estimate whether you may qualify for a premium tax credit. Income estimates are used to calculate subsidy eligibility and nothing else.
  • Your consent record — the date, time and wording of the consent you agreed to, together with the page you submitted it from. We keep this because federal telemarketing law requires us to be able to evidence it.
  • Anything else you tell us — including in a phone call, text message or email.

To complete an enrollment, a licensed agent may additionally need information such as your full address, Social Security number, immigration or citizenship status, and household tax filing details. This is required by the Health Insurance Marketplace to determine eligibility. We collect it only when you decide to proceed with an application, and only what the application requires.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size and language.
  • Usage data — the pages you view, the page that referred you, the links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, timestamps, and how many times you have visited.
  • Advertising identifiers — where you arrive from an advertisement, the click identifier assigned by the advertising platform (for example Google’s gclid, gbraid or wbraid, Microsoft’s msclkid, or Meta’s fbclid), along with campaign, ad group, keyword, match type, device and network parameters.

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, browser local storage and session storage to:

  • remember which advertisement or search brought you to the site, for up to 90 days, so we can measure which advertising works;
  • keep your progress through the quote form if you leave and return;
  • measure site performance and aggregate traffic;
  • tell a genuine visitor apart from automated abuse.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using the site, but the quote form may not remember your progress. Where required, we also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing.

3. Why we use your information

  • To give you a quote and answer your questions. Plan availability, premiums and subsidies depend on where you live, who needs coverage, their ages and your household income, so we cannot quote without them.
  • To contact you. By phone, SMS and email, in line with the consent you gave — see section 4.
  • To submit an application to an insurance carrier or through the Health Insurance Marketplace when you ask us to.
  • To service your policy — renewals, changes, plan reviews and answering questions after enrollment.
  • To measure and improve our advertising. We report to advertising platforms which enquiries and sales resulted from which campaigns. Where we do this, the information is hashed or limited to a click identifier — see section 6.
  • To meet our legal obligations under insurance regulation, telemarketing law and record-keeping requirements.
  • To protect the site from fraud, spam and abuse.

4. Calls, texts and your consent

When you tick the consent box on our quote form, you give your express written consent for You Health Group LLC and its licensed insurance agents to contact you at the telephone number and email address you provided — including by automatic telephone dialing system, prerecorded or artificial voice, and SMS or text message — about health insurance products and services, even if that number is registered on a state or federal Do Not Call list.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can ask us for a quote without agreeing to automated contact by calling us instead.

  • Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
  • Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of further texts. Reply HELP for help.
  • To stop calls, tell the agent on the call, or contact us using the details in section 12.
  • Opting out of marketing contact does not stop service messages about a policy you already hold.

We keep a record of your consent — its wording, the date and time, and the page it was given on — for as long as required to evidence it.

5. When we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in the following circumstances:

  • Insurance carriers and the Health Insurance Marketplace. To obtain a quote or submit an application on your instruction.
  • Licensed agents. Our own licensed agents, who are bound to keep your information confidential.
  • HealthSherpa. If you choose to enroll online, you are taken to HealthSherpa, an authorised Marketplace enrollment platform. Information you enter there is handled under HealthSherpa’s own privacy policy, not this one.
  • Service providers acting for us — website hosting, email delivery, telephony and SMS, spreadsheet and document storage, customer relationship management, and analytics. They may only use your information to provide the service we asked for.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms — see section 6.
  • Legal and regulatory — where required by law, subpoena, regulator, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
  • Business transfer — if our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer as part of it. You will be told if that materially changes how it is handled.

6. Advertising and analytics

We advertise on platforms including Google and Meta, and we measure which advertising produces enquiries and enrollments. To do that we may:

  • place tags on the site — including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and the Meta pixel — which collect the usage and device data described in section 2.2;
  • send back to Google Ads the click identifier associated with your visit, together with whether that click resulted in an enquiry or a sale, so the platform can attribute the result to the correct advertisement;
  • share hashed contact details for measurement and audience matching. Hashing converts the value into an irreversible string before it leaves us.

You can control this independently of us:

7. How your information is protected

Your connection to this site is encrypted with TLS. Access to enquiry records is limited to licensed agents and staff who need it. Form submissions are rate-limited and checked for automated abuse.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send your Social Security number, immigration status or medical details by email or text message. A licensed agent will take that information through a secure channel when your application requires it.

8. Health information and financial privacy

We are an insurance agency, not a health care provider, a health plan or a health care clearinghouse. We are generally not a “covered entity” under HIPAA. Information you give us is protected under this policy, under the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act, and under the insurance privacy rules of the states in which we are licensed.

Some of what you tell us — such as household income, date of birth, or the fact that you are seeking health coverage — is treated as sensitive personal information under several state privacy laws. We use it only for the purposes in section 3, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.

9. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become customers — kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or de-identified.
  • Customer and application records — kept for the period required by insurance regulation and our carrier agreements in the applicable state, typically seven years after the policy ends.
  • Consent records — kept for as long as needed to evidence consent, and at least five years.
  • Website analytics — kept in aggregated or pseudonymous form according to the platform’s retention settings.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it;
  • Access a copy of it in a portable format;
  • Correct information that is inaccurate;
  • Delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising;
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you a quote, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

These rights are given by laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, and the consumer privacy laws of Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Montana and other states.

How to exercise a right

Email youhealthgroup@gmail.com or call 888-322-2113 and say which right you wish to exercise. We will verify your identity before acting — usually by confirming details you already gave us — and respond within the time the applicable law allows, normally 45 days.

An authorised agent may act for you if you give them written permission and we can verify it.

If we decline your request you may appeal by replying to our response with the word Appeal. If you are in California you may also complain to the California Privacy Protection Agency or the Attorney General; residents of other states may complain to their own Attorney General.

11. Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 except as part of a household application submitted by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information independently, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and if the change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you directly.

Notice of non-discrimination

No individual applying for health coverage through the individual Marketplace will be discouraged from applying for benefits, turned down for coverage, or charged more premium because of health status, medical condition, mental illness claims experience, medical history, genetic information or health disability.
